Life Coaching - Initial Consultation

$0.00

Since 2019, I’ve been working with individuals to define their goals and pursue them thoughtfully. After an initial consultation, clients complete a questionnaire, and we begin defining their personal values. From there, I develop a curated plan utilizing my Aim and Align process.

My life-coaching practice is built on my personal and business values:

Integrity - Being true to oneself and others.

Individuality - Resilience and peace with one's path as personal outcomes.

Inclusivity - Mindfulness of the various centers of gravity.

Intersectionality - Challenging oneself and others to think outside a single perspective.

My Aim and Align process is agile, meaning each plan is designed to your values, life path, and desired outcomes. The tools I curate are therapeutic and designed to meet you where you are at every stage. My style is affirming accountability, meaning that I act like the bumper pads along your journey. While life coaching is not clinical therapy, I treat my clients with the same level of confidentiality as if it is. (HIPAA is my love language.)

Q: What can a life coach do for me?

A: A life coach can support you in finding the trailhead to your purpose and helping you stay on your path in ways that align with your needs and values. In my practice, I help my clients remain motivated and on task so they can further their goals, as defined by them. Not me, not their families, not their friends, not their employers—they themselves.

Q: What are outcomes, and how are they used in client plans?

A: Outcomes are changes in behavior, attitude, condition, knowledge, status, and/or skills. The primary outcomes reported by my clients as a result of life coaching are increased self-awareness, confidence, motivation, and the development of healthy habits.

Q: Why use a life coach? What, really, is the point?

A: A life coach works with people on mutual terms with specific goals for an agreed-upon timeframe. Because life coaches act as kind of ‘third party’ to your life, they don’t carry the same weight, judgment, or baggage into the relationship as a friend or family member may. The space created for you is one of support, affirming accountability, reason, growth, and confidentiality.

Q: Who do you work with?

A: Under my previous practice, I worked exclusively with Millennials. As an ‘Elder Millennial,’ I believed our story and upbringing to be unique…and then the pandemic happened. So, I work with people of any generation who are already on an anti-patriarchy path, have goals in mind, can commit to at least six months (generally longer is my experience), and are a good fit with me. I can only work with up to three people at a time, as I devote a lot of personal time to my clients.

Q: What kinds of goals do clients come to the table with? (aka Why did they seek you as a life coach?)

A: The majority of my clients were looking for a change in their career—and that’s fine, but that’s never where we begin. Ultimately, we start by exploring why they’re looking for a change and dig down to the roots of who they are (current state) and who they wish to be (future state). Thereafter, on their own, clients learn what they’re truly seeking in life—whether that’s a new career path, education, environment, personal empowerment, etc.—and we develop goals and action steps to get them on their new track at their own pace.

Q: What kind of commitment do I have to make to receive life coaching services from you?

A: I work 1:1 with clients live and virtually on a weekly basis (four sessions per month). My clients and I jointly sign a contract, and together, we set the terms of our commitment to fit your individual goals and plans. A confidentiality clause is included in the contract to ensure your privacy. If either of us is unable to keep our commitment, the contract is terminated and may be reinstated later (though there may be a price change). Payments are to be made monthly. Depending on the length of the relationship I’ve had with a client, we may reduce the number of sessions per month and style them to be more of an accountability ‘check-in.’

Q: What if I already have a therapist? Can I still use a life coach?

A: Yes, absolutely. Life coaches should never replace clinical treatment, but when paired with the right coach, they can be very helpful in a complementary capacity.

Q: Do you do group coaching?

A: No, not at this time. My practice is geared toward building a 1:1 relationship with my clients so I can best curate resources for them and flex to their needs.

Q: What does your practice specifically exclude?

A: I do not do group coaching, relationship coaching, sober coaching, business executive coaching, or actual therapy. I am not a licensed clinician. Life coaching is an unregulated field, so if you’re in need of clinical services, group therapy, AA (or any other addictions anonymous groups), please consult other resources for these services.

Q: How much does a coaching package cost?

A: My monthly package (which includes four virtual sessions [one a week], access to me throughout the week as needed, monthly tarot readings, and annual tarot readings is $600. I offer a 10% discount during your birthday month, and a referral discount for people who commit to a coaching package.

The first step is to schedule an initial consultation, which is free. During that meeting, we will get a sense of how well we work together and decide whether to move forward with a coaching package. (And if not, that’s okay! I will be happy to refer out if we’re not a great fit.)
